An AI receptionist for the trades. It picks up your business line day and night, books the job on your calendar, and texts you what was said.
$39
a month to start, 200 minutes
A live answering service runs $180 to $600 a month and takes a message. This books the job. All three plans
That is it. It answers the next call.
What a booked call sounds like
An example call, written from the flow our agent actually runs: the disclosure it opens with, the questions it asks, the two times it offers. Not a customer recording. We do not have one to show yet, and we are not going to invent one.
That is our own test line, not a customer's. Yours uses your company name, your towns and your hours, and it answers at 8:40 on a Friday night the same way.

Unchanged
You forward it. Undo the forward from your phone in ten seconds.
01
The problem
You are on a roof. The phone rings. You let it go.
You call back at 6. They already had somebody out.
The answering service took a message. It did not book anything. It spelled your company name wrong on the message.
They do not know you will not drive to Georgetown. So they say yes, and you eat the trip.
Then July hits, the calls triple, and the bill triples with them.
One booked job pays for a month of this. Most guys lose four or five a month and never see the number.
We are not going to tell you what percent of calls go unanswered. Everybody in this business quotes the same number and nobody can say where it came from. We are running our own study. Here is how we are doing it.
02
How it works
Your trades. Your towns. Your hours. Your phone number. If you do not have a site, you tell us in a form that takes four minutes.
One screen. Your service area on a map. Your after-hours rule. What you charge for a diagnostic, or that you will not quote one. Change anything you want.
Keep your number. Forward it always, or only when you do not pick up in four rings. Your choice. Undo it any time from your phone.
That is it. It answers the next call.

The demo
Put in your website. In about a minute we build an agent from what we find, and then you have a live conversation with it right in your browser. Ask it what you would ask if you were a customer with a dead unit and a pregnant wife in the house.
Step 1
You paste your website.Nothing else. No email, no card, no phone number handed out.
Step 2
We read it and build the agent.Your company name, your trades, your towns, your hours. About a minute.
Step 3
You talk to it in the browser. It will use your company name. It will know your towns. It will not make up a price.
We have no customer recordings to play you, and we are not going to invent one. What we do have is our own test line, and we post those calls including the ones it got wrong. See the calls we have posted.

A live answering service
$180 to $600
A month, for most one to five truck shops. For that you get messages, not booked jobs. And in July, when the calls double, the bill goes up with them.
This, for most shops
$99
A month, flat, 650 minutes, about 185 calls. It books the job instead of taking a message, and it does not go up in July.
Past your minutes it is 30 cents a minute, and it stops at the plan price. We email you when you hit 80 percent, before you go over. No contract. Cancel from the app.
$39 is the lowest-cost plan that is not bundled with other software. Some alternatives are cheaper for basic message-taking, and some meter differently. We wrote down how they compare. See the full comparison.

Eight of them, answered straight. If yours is not here, the agent you build in the demo will answer it, and so will we.
Some will. Most do not, until it tells them. If a caller asks whether they are talking to a person, it says no, it is an automated assistant for the company, and offers to get a human. We do not let it lie about that, and you cannot turn that off. Lying about it is how you lose a customer for good.
It will, sometimes. Here is what we built so a mistake is small instead of expensive. It will not quote a price you did not give it. It will not book outside your service area. It will not book a time you do not have open. When it does not know, it says so and takes a message. You get a summary of every call, so you find out in minutes, not next week. And you can listen to the recording.
No. You keep your number. You forward it. That is the whole change. You can forward everything, or only calls you do not pick up in four rings, so you still answer the ones you want. Turning the forward off takes about ten seconds and you do it from your phone.
About twenty minutes of your time, once. Most of that is you reading what we pulled off your website and fixing the parts that are wrong. Then you forward the phone. Guys usually do it on a Sunday night and it is live for Monday.
Most one to five truck shops pay a live answering service $180 to $600 a month, and that bill goes up in the busy months. Ours starts at $39, and the number that actually matters is the other end: we stop answering at twice your plan minutes, so the largest invoice One Truck can produce in a month is $99. You can say that number out loud before the season starts, which is not true of a bill that moves with how busy you were. What you get for it is different too. An answering service hands you a message. This hands you a job on the calendar.
Our $39 buys 200 minutes against their 250, which is about 55 calls if your calls run three to four minutes, and trade calls do. Per minute it is the same money; the entry is ten dollars lower. The difference is what happens on the call. Theirs takes a message. Ours knows you do not go past 183, that a no-cool with a baby in the house goes to the top, and that you charge $89 to come out but not on Sundays, and it puts the job on your calendar. We built this for the trades and only the trades. Our margin is thinner than theirs on purpose while we are new.
Yes. It reads your real open slots on Google Calendar and books into one. If you do not use Google Calendar, it books into a calendar we give you and texts you the job. It does not write into Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Jobber or Service Fusion yet. If you run one of those, nothing breaks: the job comes to you by text with the address, the trade and the time you agreed, and you enter it the way you do now.
It does not argue and it does not defend you. It says it is sorry, it takes down what happened, it marks the call urgent, and it gets it to you right away. You can set angry callers to ring your cell immediately instead. Most owners do.
It says it does not know and that someone will call back. It does not guess. Then it sends you the question by text so you can answer it in one line. Ask it the same thing twice and your answer becomes part of what it knows, so the next caller gets it.
Gas, carbon monoxide, smoke, or water coming through a ceiling, it does one thing first. It tells the caller to get out and call 911 or the gas company. It does not try to book that. Then it rings your phone, and if you do not pick up it rings the next number on your list.
Yes, from your phone, in about ten seconds. Off for the afternoon, off for a week, or off for good. Cancel any time. There is no contract and nobody is going to try to talk you out of it on a retention call.
